Engineering Field Notes: Orbital Welding Selection, Prep, and Project QA
This article replaces the temporary Resources overview page with a normal blog entry under the existing Industry Insights category. It points readers to the three content paths that already exist on the site: case studies, technical guides, and industry insights.
How to use the Resources section
Case Studies are project stories and should be read as application references, not universal performance promises. Actual results depend on material, WPS, inspection plan, operator setup, and site conditions.
Technical Guides explain process decisions such as closed-chamber vs open-frame welding, tube preparation, purge control, power-source selection, and weld-record planning.
Industry Insights cover buying context, automation planning, workforce constraints, and project economics. They should stay tied to specific product KB data and customer QA requirements.
Product content now lives on product pages
C-Series, K-Series, and PT-Series selection guidance has been merged into the corresponding product pages instead of being used as separate navigation pages. This keeps a buyer on the product page while still giving them the selection logic they need.
- FXT20 + C-Series closed-chamber welders
- FXT40 Pro + K-Series open-frame welders
- PT40 / PT80 tube-to-tubesheet welders
For current product specifications, use the product pages as the source of truth and confirm final configuration against the project WPS and QA plan.
